Are you using AnyDVD in the background?

i usually use DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink to rip and burn my dvds.

After I rip it with DVD Decrypter and try to burn it with DVD Shrink usigng Nero.

It says: DVD Shrink encountered a error and cannot continue.
Invalid data in file "c:\pirates\video_ts\vts_01_1.vob"

I am not familiar with AnyDVD, but what is the differance in that and will that solve the issue?

Because you are using a buggy version of AnyDVD that was addressed in the version before current one. Upgrade to 6.0.9.0 I think the corrupt version was 6.0.8.5 around Thanksgiving time.

@jskuyper...drop (Lose) DVD Shrink, Use AnyDVD and Nero Recode2 only. Your problem is your using 2 decrypting programs at once. AnyDVD does not need the assistance and Shrink will not do the job alone, so why use it? Shrink is not needed.:P

Like I said, I ripped mine with DVDFAB Decrypter 3.0.4.0 successfully within 17 minutes. No errors, no retries, no glitches whatsoever. It maybe a bad pressed, so try to exchange it for another one.

Hmmmm.... still wondering why so many members, so many issues with PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN 2: Dead Man's Chest? Maybe I'll update my "DVDFAB Decrypter + VobBlanker + DVD Shrink + ImgBurn" guide just for this movie.

Best of luck!!

This is the only movie I have had problems with. I got it licked though.

DVDFAB Decrypter, Vob Blanker and DVDShrink.
Done and dusted.

I used the latest RipIt4Me and FixVTS, along with DVD Decrypter and Shrink. No problems ripped, burned and played fine.

I uses DVDDecrypter to rip to HD, then used DVDDecrypter to burn onto a Dual Layer (Verbatim) disc at 2.4x. I had AnyDVD running in the background. Seemed to work but I have not watched it yet to make sure it worked, but the message at the end was operation complete.

I take back what I said, because the DVD made with this ran in my PS2, but not my living room player.

So I just now downloaded and used AnyDVD (6.0.9.0) in the background, DVD Decrypter, (not with ripit4me), DVD2One to compress a full disc copy, then Nero express. Works flawlessly on both systems. :D

Last night, I tried for over an hour using all the programs listed here with no luck. It would rip the movie fine, but would not burn, so I went to bed. This morning, it hit me...simplicity. I ran only DVD Shrink with DVD43 in the background and it ran completely normally. Shocker...I overthought it again.... Good luck all!!

i was using DVD Shrink and DVD43 for PIRATES/DEAD MAN'S CHEST.
got a CRC error in DVD Shrink.

dumped DVD43 and installed AnyDVD.

Started DVD Shrink and no errors. AnyDVD works great! I even bought it.
