As in there is no DNAS???
Or is it the problem with past SOCOM games detecting modchip etc....
If that's the case then maybe we could still play over XLink Kai, but it's a bit of a pain to set up

The anti-cheat detection software detects a patched backup. Impossible to play online with a backup.

I don't bother with backupscene anymore, asking for help there is like talking to a robot you don't get anywhere.. I tried asking for help and no useful response just the same crap i already knew.... I'm afterdawn all the way i try to be as helpful as possibile and i most certainly wouldn't ignore a PM from someone asking a simple question via PM *cough*Ace*cough*

Mm, well I probably would of ignored it then if it had come through, to be honest, since there is a best media sticky in the PS2 General Forum that answers that question. It wouldn't be anything personal, I just don't respond to stuff that's got an answer in the forums already.
But to re-iterate, I've used over 10 different brands of media, and have found the best to be RITEK G05 8x DVD-R - having burnt over 2000 games with this media, without a single bad burn or coaster, and the 1st game burnt still works just as well today as the last game I burnt.

Ok, so the anti-mod detection that was found in previous SOCOM games is also in this one.
Is there LAN play like the other ones?
This would mean you could still play online, but have to set up the XLink Kai thing, which can be a pain to setup, especially with a wireless router...
