i have recently purchased a nokia d box2 from germany.scanned in channels but 95%of channels have a yellow key in bottom right corner which presumably means channels are locked.please help me unlock these channels as i can only watch limited channels(no premium channels)

what image are you running
try this, go to Sky Sports and leave it on for 5 minutes, the encryption key should auto update.
you may have to refash with a more recent image or change the EMU you are running.

your EMU or UCode may need chaging
for EMU using remote
blue --> blue --> EMU Selection --> Select the EMU and press OK to restart. Leave a few secs and see if the other channels are there.
for UCode
blue --> blue--> System menu --> Hardware Settings --> Ucode Selection and select a different UCode
you will have to rsetart the DBox for changes to come into effect.

the ucode selections are either built in/ ucode0014/or ucode vortex which one should i choose.i am a complete novice at this

which one is selected at the moment
try one of the other and see what you get
mine is set to UCode 001A and I dont have any issues with channels.. so change the UCode and see what happens..

no it should be one of the UK ones..
you need ti change to a UK image
PM and I can email you one of the UK image files.
lets get this box fired up and running...

is your dbox networked or can you access it via your computer - as you will need to do this in order to apply the image.

before we flash want to try one thing..
i will email you a services file - and see if we can pick up channels that way, if not we will flash a new image.
i will email your the cable.xml file - copy it over and do a brute force scan with fast scan off

I've got a dbox 2 and for some reason I cannot view any box office channels. The message is coming up as Error - Channel Not Available.

Hi Guys,
Can someone confirm something for me...
I'm only getting FTA channels on my new box - is "unlocking" non-fta channels purely down to UCodes etc, or are keys needed?
Also (may be being thick here), is it possible to get an internet browser for my DBox2 so I can surf on it?

Also, am I right in thinking that a Brute Force scan will find all available channels, regardless of 68xx or 69xx etc?

Wot image you runnin mate
For best scan results you need to input your net id location and rescan
All the latest images have this feature and can do a full scan in about 5mins tops Good Luck ............Paul

One thing you can do before doing a image flash is resetting the EPG. Leave it on E4 & hopefully it will show after 30 secs or so.
Resetting EPG: Blue Button > Blue Button > "some option in there".

Evening all,
Got my new DB2 (as below) up and running quite easily - always good! Finds 256+ channels (incl data and radio) - couple of questions:
1. Can someone point me to an english language bouquet editor?
2. Im tempted to upgrade my Comm6 to Commando 8.2... is it stable yet, what are the benefits? I see Comm8.2 doesnt come with keys - does the system cr@ck the keys itself, or do I need to find them somewhere?
3. Under "Channel Scan" I have "Background Scan -> On". I assume this means it's scanning for new channels / keys all the time in the background?

i put commado 8.2 on mine,but saw no extra benefits,but i lost all EPG on movies,so i put 8 back on and updated to 8.1 which i prefer to 8.2
