How to setup my hard drive in "C" to accept the DVD Video Files when coping a disc in CloneDVD 2?

Hi creager
In the last screen of CloneDVD you can do that - here's a pic

Binkin, Thank you.

A very nice picture of CloneDVD and information, where did you copy it from?
However I don't think it is exactualy what I would like. In CloneDVD there are three options for copy and each one to start there is a bar at the top that is marked "DVD Video Files". I believe a path to your hard drive folder where the files that are to be installed as CloneDVD copies your movie, then the files will be burned back to a blank disc.

Now, it is that folder and the path back to the "DVD Video Files" that I think must be created. I am a novice at all this and just don't know if all this is correct or not.

Sure hope you can understand my thinking (Sometimes I don't),

Well the pic is from my laptop :)

I am a little confused on your question.

Do you want to copy a movie to your hard drive w/ CloneDVD then burn later?
If that's the case then select 'dvd files' or 'iso/udf image' under 'output method' instead of DVD writer. There will also be a browse button where you pick the folder and drive to where it should be saved. Or you also have option of creating a new folder under the drive to save it to.

If the files are already on your hard drive then use the 'write existing data' option (3rd option when you open Clone). Then just pick what the source file is (dvd files or iso) and browse to find it.

If I'm way off base on your questions- just let me know!

Binkie,

This is a new Hard Drive with only 1 partision "C". Would like to create
a folder in it that when CloneDVD (in any of their 3 options) asks were to install the movie about to be copied in the "DVD Video Files" bar at the top that this folder will come up.

Many thanks for the reply,
Bill

Ok create a folder on the c drive where you want the files stored.
When you use one of the 3 opinions you will need to click on browse and find the folder.
CloneDVD will keep that folder as the default option until you change it.
You'll need to set initially in each option.

Binkie,

Thank you so very much, that worked perfectly and so simple it made me ashamed of my lack of computer knowledge. Have been trying for a week to get an answer, just don't know to ask so it could be understood.

Thank you again,
Bill
