Code is correct mate.
Make sure all the information is correct.
If information is correct try the code one more time enter fast but carefully.
Remove sim first,power on the phone.
After the phone boots up, press #
Press * 3 times fast for (p)
Press * 4 times fast for (w)
Press * 2 times fast for (+)
Verify code before pressing the last #.
"Code error", don't try again!!
"Phone restrictions off", it's unlocked!

when i entered it as instructed i got "code error"

Sorry mate but it sounds like someone else has already tried unlocking your mobile.
Take the mobile to a shop to get it unlocked directly with hardware.

It means one of two things mate the mobile was already unlocked or the correct code was given, but code error or a similar message popped up. Some mobiles are just funny like that.
