Hi thinktj,

That little cam is your on-screen display indicating you can change angles. Check your dvd player's manual and turn off on screen display.

Not all DVD have multiple camera angles available as an option...also the entire movie usually doesn't offer multiple angles, just certain scenes. This is why the icon sporatically appears.

Thinktj,

On your dvd remote you need to go into your player's setup,
then go to the display icon. On mine it is the "ABC" icon and turn off "On-screen displays".

BTW. I do have Enemy of the State (Region 1) just checked and it does have 2 angles.

Next time you backup a movie use Reauthor mode and backup the movie only.

thinktj,

Ok, I put in my backup of Enemy of the State, turned on "On-screen display", angle icon shows up at approximately 20 seconds into the movie. Fast forward, shows up quite regularly.

Played my original, you are right, no angle icon. Fast forward through the whole movie, nothing. VERY STRANGE as opening up the disc, definitely shows 2 angles.

Turn off your on-screen display as per your dvd player's manual. I only see the icon flashing on my player and if that gets really annoying I use the dimmer and have no display at all. I don't think all players have that function.

Thinktj,

Here is a list of Philips dvd players, click on yours and a manual will come up.

http://www.support.philips.com/support/h...arch_result.xsl

I did check out 2 different models and none of the manuals indicated how to turn if off, so I goggle searched and it appears that Philips have a design flaw in this regard.

All I can suggest, is to redo "movie only" and choose Angle 1.

You're welcome thinktj.

Helping you was also a learning process for me. I recently backed up "Cars" movie only. I knew this also had 2 angles, so I played a few minutes, looked for the angle icon to appear on my player, and sure enough it appeared. So the advice of movie only doesn't hold true, at least with the AnyDvd/CloneDvd combination I used. I'm not sure if the programs you use will remove the angle icon.

I also learned that not all dvd players have the option to turn off the multi-angles. This was a novelty for a few movies, but soon became a major annoyance.

You may want to look at this thread where JaguarGod indicates how to remove the multi angles:

Good Luck
