I have a 25 pack of Sony DVD-RW 1-2X and they are unopened. Do any of you know whether they will be good for backing up games? They were made in Taiwan. And according to this thread: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/303681
They are supposed to be 1st class media if it is the same one, is there any way I can tell without opening it?

Hmm.... From what i heard RW will not play on most PS2's and is not good on the laser or for copied PS2 games... you may want to comfirm that with someone else but that's what i hear.

I have always had troble with RW DVDs. But I have heard of others getting them to work. If it was me I would try -R before RW. But you may want to wate to see what other people have to say.
