I saw some video tutorials on flashing the xbox 360 drive on youtube.com and one of them uses xtreme boot maker and he saves his work to a USB drive and it does not show if he is using a usb flash/pen drive or not.
Do i really need a flash/pen drive connected to my pc's usb port or can i use a floppy disk? if i can then how do i use my floppy disk drive to hack the xbox 360 firmware?
I dont acually have the xbox 360, a freind of mine has it and he wanted to know if i could flash the drive for him.
I will only find out what the model number is and what the drive type is later as he is at work now but i have checked up on my pc chipset and it is an INTEL 865G chipset which on the intel website says that it has Dual independent Serial ATA* controllers but when i looked inside my machine i did not see it, do you know of a very large size picture of a SATA connection so i can check again, for reference i have an ACER ASPIRE RC900 PC.
Not sure if that chipset is supported. A few things you can do, if the drive is a Sammy, you can try using xtreme boot maker to make a custon MTK flash for your Intel card, then try flashing it. If that doesnt work, pick up a cheap PCI sata card. What country do you live in?Will give you a link for a PCI sata card
Actually out of stock at the Mo. That card works great for a Sammy 25. If its a Sammy 28, your gonna need a VIA chipset card which is avialable on ebay if you look. or check out www.newdigitalshop.co.uk
