I have got my box checked "look for newer version of any dvd" but it is not doing so. I have been using any dvd for a year and a half and never had any problems before one thing I did notice is after an update my Zone Alarm use to say "any dvd is trying to access the internet allow or deny" but I am not seeing that either. I have not changed anything on my computer in past 4-5 months. I can go to the website and download the update but will not update automatically version I am using 6085. sorry such a long thread

That sounds like a better way to do it how do I get set up to receive an email from them?

You don't "set up" to get email from them. If you buy from them, you automatically get an email, letting you know there's an update available. Then you go to site, download it, and install it.
If you don't get an email from them, you're not in their mailing list, so you probably didn't buy from them. Did you buy from eBay? If so, it probably won't work much longer. They won't support the software, if it's bought from somewhere else. Your key will eventually quit working, if you didn't buy it from Slysoft.

@Catchum....... this is telling you that Zone Alarm must set a rule about AnyDVD ...... allow it to go on the internet so it can compare your version with SlySoft's version of what's available. this way when you open up AnyDVD it will do a comparison of versions and if there is a newer version it will ask you if you want to update your version! If you pick YES then your browser will go to SlySoft.com and you can download and install the newer version! that is what it does when you Quote: checked "look for newer version of any dvd"
also I remember that when I did buy AnyDVD it asked me if I wanted to be notified for new versions..... that's when SlySoft will send you out an email, notifying you of the newer version release!

Yes I purchased all my slysoft products from slysoft no ebay. I have always gotten the message from them saying a newer version of any dvd was available up until about 3 weeks ago. everything is set to receive them including Zone Alarm but don't. I have all the license keys for my products. Thanks, Russ

Ok, in that case, go to their site, and send them an email about it. They should be able to straighten it out for you.
Good luck! :o)
