I used to always use DVD Shrink, but I've just given CloneDVD a chance. It seems to get the same job done quite a bit easier. Are there any detriments to switching my backup method to CloneDVD? Any must have advantages to DVDShrink?

Yea but once you pay for CloneDVD 2 once you don't have to pay no more and all your updates are free for life...I rather use ripit4me first to rip the movie to a file followed up by DVD Decrypter and check it with fix vts, to get my jobs done... then use CloneDVD 2 with AnyDVD in the background runnin...

Done out of Here!

CloneDVD works great. So what if it's only like 30 dollars you get your money's worth.

Stick with Shrink, it may be slower but the picture quality is much better than CloneDVD especially at higher compression levels.

I've never used CloneDVD2, but if you're looking for quality, then go with the below tools.

(1) DVD-RB Pro + CCE SP 2.70 or ProCoder 2
(2) Nero Recode with "AA + HQSR + Assign BEST quality to Main Movie" or use Recode's AEC changer by Solomon.
(3) DVD Shrink "DA + AEC + Max Smooth"

The choice is yours.

I have never personally used DVD Clone but I can tell you that DVD Shrink works perfectly. I have never had a problem with quality!

RipIt4Me will rip any dvd out there! Download it at http://www.ripit4me.org and never look back!!
RipIt4Me is freeware software for backing up your DVD's!
