Ok you guys I have never installed devhook manually. But on psp-hacks.com on forum/tutorials pg 143 the link at top. I found these directions to install dev hook .50. Followed them exactly and they worked. Here the link http://www.psp-hacks.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=54219&p=1 Everything u need is there. If u follow them perfectly u will be running dev hook .50. This is the first time i installed it by myself without it predone. Here.

Devhook.50

Involves Flashes, Please don't worry its safe. Just read the precautions it asks before flashing.

Sorry guys about the installer.

Ingredients:

1. Get yourself a copy of Devhook .50+PsarDumper. You can get it here:
http://rapidshare.com/files/5394472/Dev ? DUMPER.zip

2. Put the content of Devhook_PSARDUMPER.zip into the root of your memorystick.

3. Download a 2.82 PSAR. Get it here:
http://rapidshare.com/files/5394267/DATA.PSAR

4. Put the DATA.PSAR into the ROOT of your memorystick.

5. Run the psar dumper on your psp and then press CROSS when asked.

6. You now have a dumped version of 2.82 on your memorystick, It is found in the
folder F0 in the ROOT of your memorystick.

7. Copy the F0 folder to ms0:/dh/282/F0/ and overwrite.

8. Download 2.71 audio.prx. Get it here:
http://rapidshare.com/files/5393438/audio.prx .

9. Copy the audio.prx file to ms0:/dh/282/F0/kd and overwrite.

10. Run devhook.50 and go to the "FLASH ROM" menu.

11: If you have devhook files from .45 or .46 previously flashed to flash1 remove
those first(if you can't remember flashing them, i say you never did it them ).

12: Then flash the config file to flash1, so choose "flash1: < ms0: install configfile".
Then press circle.

13: Then choose firmware 2.82 in the "FIRMWARE" menu and press the run "START"
in devhook (use the circle button).

14: You Should now have emulated 2.82

Thanks goes to Booster for do i have say and Psppet, Dark_Alex, Team Noobz for the decrypter.

I would prolly use link. for links to programs.

Ok then does Devhook only work with iso's though or can it work with an actual game in your PSP that requires like a v2.82 upgrade?

Ok guys i have tested this. I wrote everything in the first post except for the directions. U can switch back from 2.82 to ur 1.5 by just holding the on off switch for 5 secs. The flashing is so fast u wouldnt be able to brick. I am so happy now i get to run sftb2 online.

Hey Sniper, i've tested once for emulating the 2.82 firmware.

It worked!
But there is a question+ a problem........

When i want to emulate 2.82 fw the second time, should i install the config file again??
(The part u say "flash1: < ms0: install configfile".Then press circle.)

Plus, i can't emulate the freakin 2.82 firmware anymore!!(thts the prob.)

Is there an Ultimate Installer for this DevHook 0.50?

Heeeelp!!And Thanks if reply!

You don't need to flash the psp a second time. Once it is setup there is nothing else needed to be done.

I would check your setting u might not be able to just hit start everytime u go into it.

I'm having the exaxt same problem as Megaman17, i have tried everything, i reformatted my disk and then tried this, also tried ChaosZero's ultimate installer snd his instructions, but everytime i press start it freezes on a black screen and then turns off! i have tried every single pre-load address and no luck, have seen people on other forums with the same problem, there must be something thats not in these guides that we have to do!?

EDIT: My PSP is japansese and therefore the X and O buttons are swapped, could this be the case when running the PSAR DUMPER instead of cross should i press O, oh and, when i do the flash thing in DEvhook, its really short and after about 1 seconf after pressing it it, it tells me to press any button to return, should this be a long process?

Devhook 0.50 installed great
To TwinBlade, i have a Japanese PSP as well, just press X, i did it and it worked great for me.
Now, I am having trouble playing Tony Hawk Project 8. When i click it, it goes to the psp screen, then the screen goes black and turns itself off.
Any help would be appreciated!
