i visited torrentz.com and downloaded madden 07.after the download was finished it was a type of file that u can put into a DVD-R.so i was wondering how torrents work.

did you mean "can't put" instead of "can put"? otherwise, i don't really see what you're basing your question on.

but anyway, torrents work by distributing bits and pieces of data over a large network among many filesharers, creating a very efficient and fast system of transporting data.

you could just google for more information along those lines.

just search here, there are tons of posts about this subject
search the word "torrent"
search for "Winrar"
and you should get plenty to read.
Basically torrents are compressed ISO files split up into many little parts and you have to use WinRAR to extract them so you can get the ISO you need to burn to DVD
