Hi, I just wanted to know if you run a Progressive scan game on ps2 like god of war on a normal widescreen tv (non HDTV) will the image quality improve.

not sure that it will.
What will improve it is getting a set of PS2 Component cables
if your TV has an input for them. They carry a better picture signal that the standard composite cables that come with a PS2.
they make them for both PS2 and Xbox and the set should have 5 cables. 3 would be the video signal and 2 would be your analog audio.

they should look something like those. Mine are by Psyclone and i bought them at Best Buy.
and if you have the money an AC filtering surge protector can also help your TV picture by filtering out the slight static distortion that comes through your household electrical outlets.

that is the exact set i have but they are a bit more expensive at a retail store then you will find online.

Progressive scan only works on V10 and later consoles and it requires the use of component cables but yes the pic quality is much better.
