Hey everyone, I am really new to digital video and I have some security footage of some individuals that were caught vandalizing some cars. There are times when they look straight at the camera but the video is pixalated and bleary. I need to clear up thier faces so I can identify them. Is there any software that anyone can recommend that is easy to use and can be used in my situation? Thanks!!

I enjoy video editing as a hobby, and as fas as I know a bad video is just a bad video. I am not aware of a software that will allow you to do what you want, unless its very expensive commercial product used by studios or cops.

I too wait to find out answer to your question. By the way the CSI stuff that you watch on TV is not always what you think.

I wish I had the software available to CSI or Las Vegas tv shows!! love the way they can tap into a database sooooooo easily and come up with the perfect picture from a pixelation that is soooooo blurry that it could be a cloud in the sky!!! or sharpen up that license plate so you can read it! I want their software!!!!! maybe we can pirate it from the internet! hahahahahahaahahah yeahhhhhhhhhh right! keep dreaming! there's a reason why we, the public, don't have programs of that quality!

When you see a good face shot pause the video and take a still image capture. Then use the picture in a picture editing software like Photoshop. There are many filters that can help to fix up the original.

Yes true, but you must still start with a good video. You can't fo much with a poorly shot video.
