How do I connect my PS2 to cable modem?

Recap:

I bought my PS2 and HDD drive a few years back and used it to play FFXI (had DSL connection). After I stopped playing FFXI I stopped using my PS2.

Fast Forward:

I now have (comcast) Cable internet connection, and decided I'd like to hook up my PS2. How can I hook up my PC and PS2 to the internet at the same time, WITHOUT a router? I'm not very technical, but I'll do my best to understand your instructions. So, what do I need, and how do I go about doing this?

I did this for a few days but got tired of moving either my PS2 or cable modem to my room or living room, Just move your PS2 to whatever room you have your PS2, make sure you have a broadband connector for the back and connect the ethernet wire (the fat phone line wire) to the back of your broadband connector on the PS2.

You need to have an open LAN port on your comp first of all. Plug in your PS2 into your comp, then you need to go to network connections and highlight the PS2's lan connection and your internet connection then right click then click bridge connections.

By "open LAN port" are you referring to a spare ethernet port? ^^; That's where I have a problem, you see, my PC only has 1 ethernet port and it's connected to the modem. How can I fix this?

i think you will need a wireless connection but that means router or or a modem wireless enabled - if it exist -. Otherwise you must choose when to play the ps2 online and when to surf the web.

You dont need wireless unless your PS2 or computer is wireless. And, yes, I meant ethernet port. Unless you have a open port on your computer though, you will only be able to use one at a time(PS2 or computer).
