has anyone had this happen.... i use AnyDVD and clonedvd2. for the past few days nad movie i try to burn off my hard drive won't play in my dvd player. is says playback prohibited by area limitations. i'm using the same disc that worked last week. i have uninstalled and reinstalled AnyDVD and clonedvd2. i have no idea why it is doing this all of the sudden. i can't find any threads here or else where with this problem. it doesn't matter if i try to burn an iso or a dvd folder i made with winavi or VSO DivXtoDVD.
mhill2079 Need more information to help you. What movie are you trying to back-up? Is it downloaded or a bought one? What type,brand media are you using? Are you using AnyDVD & CloneDVD 2 you "bought" from Slysoft? Or the trial version? What versions of AnyDVD & CloneDVD 2 are you using? This sounds like a region code issue, which should not be due to AnyDVD makes you movies region free. Post more details & someone here may be able to help you. If not & you bought your software fromm Slysoft, email them. They are very good at helping their customers!

sounds like your machine is telling you recorded a PAL disk and trying to play it on an NTSC machine. so the machine is telling you to convert your files to the appropriate location. PAL is used in most of the western European countries (except France, where SECAM is used instead), Australia, some countries of Africa, some countries of South America and in some Asian countries. NTSC is used in United States, Canada, Japan, in most of the American continent countries and in various Asian countries.
In ConvertXToDVD you can set the appropriate locations in the settings.
thank you for the good advise. actually i figured it out last night after messing with it for about 7 hours. one of those things where it was the simple answer you just didn't think of. the problem is the PAL format. now with winavi i can set it to NTSC and have no problem but how can i change a PAL iso into a NTSC iso? is that possible?
