Hi, i can not downgrade using the recover file. can any one give a guide please?

copy recovery over to game the include the update eboot that you want,rename it as UPDATE and run it through recovery

Ok, thanks i will try it.
I also cant get dev hook 0.51 to work, thats why i was downgrading.

devhook 0.51 works fine on my 2.71se-c,did you do everything correct when dumping and copying?

i tried formatting the memory card then installing dev hook but still wont work.

nope just devhook,did you dump everything yourself?
this is how i done it and it works
1. Remove all previous DevHook files from your memory stick.
2. Copy the DevHook 0.51 package to the root of your memory stick. This would be ms0:/ and the two folders should be ?dh? and ?PSP?.
3. Download the 3.01 update (search Google) or PSP Hacks.
4. Get PSARDumper
5. Extract the DATA.PSAR from the 3.01 update you?ve downloaded with a program such as PBP Unpacker. Once thats done, copy the DATA.PSAR over to the root of your memory stick.
6. Run PSARDumper on your PSP, once its loaded up press X to dump a sigchecked 3.01. Once its done your PSP will return to the main menu.
7. Open up your memory stick, you will now see that there is an ?F0″ folder in the root. Move that to the ?301″ folder inside of ?dh?.
8. Go into the ?301″ directory, move the reboot.bin into the f0 folder.
9. Launch up DevHook and go to ?FLASH ROM? settings, choose install dh to flash1. DO NOT touch any of the other settings unless you know what you?re doing.
10. Finally, choose ?FIRMWARE? from the DevHook menu and pick 3.01. Now start DevHook and you should be good to go!

When i Run PSARDumper the white PSP screen comes up and then the PSP powers off. I ve checked the folders.

have a look here for all the files you need
when you formatted your memory card have you put the iso and game271 folders back on?

Yep done that, but same problem. is it ok to have exactly the same GAME foler with only changing the name, as i get two each homebrew and PSARDumper.
Or does the GAME271 need to be empty?

i mean now i have exactly two folders that are the same. Should the folder "GAME271" be empty or can it also have the SARDumper folders in it.

game 271 folder empty as its for 2.71 firmware programs,have you checked in the recovery settings that the game folder homebrew is set to 1.50 kernal?
