Hey all;

I've been experiencing issues while trying to run the steps from the back up procedure listed in the thread link below...

Step1 - I use the DVDFab Decrypter...works fine creates new files
Step2 - I use the VobBlanker...works fine creates new files
Step3 - I have tried both NeroRecode & DVD Shrink 3.2 and both crash my system. The files look good before loading and they both start running but after about 5 or 10 minutes my whole computer shuts down >:-o I have no idea whats going on. Its been a while since I've had to use any other method to back up my DVD's. My old method was just using DVD Shrink 3.2 then burn with DVD Decrypter. The new encryptions dont allow this process to work no more so I came back here and tried this new method. Whats going on??? Any ideas why its crashing when I try to use either app?

Any input thoughts or comments would be greatly appreciated.

Check your version of DVDFab Decrypter - the latest is 3.0.4.0. Here's a link.

Still a no go then use this great guide (w/ links to dl programs) also by alkohol for RipIt4Me. All free & will handle the new stuff too. Uses Shrink and Decrypter also.

I have the most current version of FAB. The issue is when I try to use either Nero Recode or DVD Shrink. I'm not sure why it's turning my computer off all by it's self. I will try your suggestion and see if that works.

It might just be a bad rip from DVDFab but if RipIt4Me crashes went it gets to Shrink may be something else like the pc is overheating.

So give RipIt4Me a go and let us know. We can go from there.
