Hello,

I keep getting the error message "Windows explorer has encountered an error and needs to close" I have tried everything and it only seems to happen when i try to open folders in my D drive where I keep my AVI files stored. I have run reg cleaner, xoftspy, McaFee virus scan, and even browsed another site where i saw the problem being fixed with KillBox and a specific file name that was placed in the drop down box and fixed on reboot, even that didn't work. I ran Hijack this and saved the log file. Can anyone see anything that could be a problem or stuff that I don't need anyway? Here is the log file:

* Unzip all files to C:\Qoofix.
* Open the folder and double-click Qoofix.exe to run it.
* Click Begin Removal and wait for the scan to finish.
* If an infection has been found, select Yes to restart your computer.

Post the contents of the Qoofix log and a new HijackThis log.

I don't seem to be getting the error message anymore, but I actually think it was a codec issue (FFDShow) about 2 days ago I redownloaded and reinstalled FFDShow and the problem seemed to go away after that. Not sure why but, it seemed to work. However, I saw many infected files removed with the new program that I downloaded with .dll, .bxjj?, and other extensions like these. Again thanks for the help and if you see anything else in the new log that should be taken care of please let me know. Thanks

Log is clean now, but run an online scan to make sure nothing was missed.

Go here to run ActiveScan.
Click "Panda ActiveScan.
Fill in the form with your information.
After downloading, click My Computer to scan.
When it finishes, click "See Report".
Click "Save report" and save it to the desktop.
Post the log if anything other than cookies is found.
