k i was just online playing someone in NBA 2K7 and the internet (wired) dropped with 10 seconds to play and now it wont let me sign back into live and it says my MTU settings failed. How can i fix this to get back online or am i screwed now? I have heard of a couple people having this problem. Is it a serious problem with xbox? Thanks

Try unplugging the power cord of your modem for about 30 seconds and then plug it back in.

How's the internet running on your PC? I think MTU has to do with your uploading speed, but I am not sure on that. Are you plugged directly into the modem or using a router?

I just bought hispeed internet for the xbox last night. I have wireless that i run off the house for my computer and i have wired internet that plugs directly into the xbox360 because my wireless signal was dropping constantly.

mtu is maximum transmission unit, you need to contact your isp to find out what theirs is. You will then have to access your router and enter the correct number into the MTU settings
i had this problem when I was with AOL.

(but then saying that it shouldnt have let you sign in in the first place)
