I just recently got a HDTV so i hooked up my ps2 to it. First i booted up final fantasy 12 hoping for a good picture but the image looks really bad to the point it actually unplayable. Ive tried other games like gt4 and gta but still dont look as good as they were on my old 24" standard def tv. So i wondered if anybody here has tried the Xploder HD upscaler thing? Also I am using the RCA cable(red white yellow) so would it be better to buy a set of component cables?
Thanks

A component cable is the best type for signal to your HDTV a PS2 can offer.

No screens available but if you are using standard RCA cables the only thing worse is the old RFU screw on cable connection

The worst to best most commonly used for PS2 is

RFU
RCA
S-Video
Component

With the composite cable the PS2 (FFXII) was unplayable on my HDTV. I ran down to Gamestop and spent 15 dollars on a set of component cables and there was a huge difference.

If you don't notice a difference (you will) you can always return them.

Well Im from Northern Ireland so there isnt many stores that would do the component cables but ill look on ebay.
Are the official sony component cables better or the really cheap ones or is there any difference in the brands?
