Need help with my fliptop installation

I am trying to install the flip top case for my PS2 with a guide from a website. I installed it by the guide but when I screwed it all together and plugged in the PS2 to see if it worked. It seemed to not have power going to it, or rather the Reset/Eject button did not show any light at all. I took everything apart again and retried taping the cable connecting the Reset/Eject button onto the case and keeping it more tidy as to avoid it being put upon any pressure. I tried turning the PS2 on once again and found it didn't work. Upon inspecting the cable between the Reset/Eject button and the PS2 itself, I found that the cable had been moved or pulled out. If you have any advice on how to fix this or repair the cable I'd appreciate it.

Try plugging the ribbon cable back in to where you pulled it out? You might have to wiggle it in, just be careful not to bend it in half while doing so.

I'm not quite sure where the ribbon is supposed to attach to, is it the 2 larger ribbon cables that are connected together? The blue and white one? If anyone can get a picture of what it is supposed to look like, it'd be appreciated.
