Well, first off I'd just like to mention that my birthday is on the 13th of December, and that I'd really love to play SNES/ ISOs on my PSP by then. It's been 6 months in the process, and don't get me wrong.. I can understand... somewhat. I tried to install devhook and HENC, and it actually worked, using pspjunior's thread. The blue screen, the 1.5, the orange screen, and the actual 1.5 version. However, when I tried to put SNES9xTYL2me on my PSP, it always came up as a damn corrupt data! I tried and tried, yet my PSP never did read it.... and I'm just depressed. My parents don't buy me games, so I was hoping to dl some.. but that won't work I guess.... Please help, someone

So you downgraded your psp from 2.71 and you currently have a fw 1.50 right? By right it should launch if not you have a bad downgrade. Try reformatting your ms, upgrade to 2.71 and downgrade again.

It's not really downgrading... I just used devhook and HENC... it's a hybrid. However, if I AM GOING TO DO IT AGAIN, I'm gonna reformat, then I want someone in this thread to post nice clear directions if they will, including all the links for the SNES and HENC and all

1. Download Snes9xtyl from here: http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/487
2. Extract snes9xTYL-0.4.2me.rar and put the non-% and the % folders into your X:\PSP\GAME directory (where X is the drive letter of your PSP)
3. Download HEND from here: http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/922 .
4. Extract hend.rar and put the files in the MS_ROOT folder to the root of your memory stick (i.e X:\ where X is the drive letter of your PSP). Also put the "dh" folder found in the devhook folder of that archive in the root of your memory stick,
5. Now, go to PHOTO-->Memory Stick-->HEND. You should get a blue screen. Wait until your PSP auto-resets. If it freezes repeat this step until you get it to work.
6. Now go to GAME-->Memory Stick and run DevHook. Select firmware 1.5 and then click on START DEVHOOK.
7. When you get to the firmware 1.5 XMB, go to GAME-->Memory Stick and select Snes9xtyl and it will load :)

Heh... now it's been about 9 months.... to the dude above me, thanks for the help, and I followed all the steps, explicitly, yet there has been no success. I go to PHOTO, and I see RAND, and it doesn't work.
Can it be because I DON'T have a TA- 082? If so, can someone please tell me how to get the same results without a TA

nope i do not think so.HEND can run on both 2.71 TA-082 and non TA-082.well i have tried it on my sisters friends 2.71 non ta-082 psp since she is scared of downgrading it

Um.... in the case that you haven't noticed, I haven't tried to downgrade because I am quite scared of it... I really won't try it, that's why I wanted to do this. My friend told me of something called an SD, but I think that he was lying.... please people, besides downgrading, is there any type of good alternative that will let me run at least SNES, and possible ISOS

dude man i have never ever help some1 with a simple emulator for 6 monthes besides u... look i gave u dl links from psp-hacks to make shure it a good and real emulator.. gave u steps on how to install it... andyet it still hasnt worked so u know wat? god dam downgrade it and if u do i still dont think it would be helpful cuz its probibly how your computer downloads folders and files.. tell me if your computer does things differently from other computers

I found Dark_Alex's downgrader to work great the first time but when I was going back and found between 2.71 and 1.50 (before I found out about DevHook and the 2.71 SE) it started screwing up and not working. I finally managed to get it back to 1.50 and kept it there ever since just using 2.71 SE-B and DevHook 0.46 and 0.51.

generic downgraders are a lot safe now but still there is a possibility on brick.well unless u do not want to try this

just extract it to your memorystick main.that is when you open the removable drive in my computer
then try boot hend but open photos and wait for 4secs then boot it.

Keal, the above link you gave to me.... is it a generic, or easy one, or is it both of them. ANyways, there are no risks at all right? All I do is:
1.) extract it to my desktop.
2.) Connect my PSP with a USB
3.) Open it up, and let it download
4.) Extract SNES to my mem stick's game
5.) It will work now?

ahh this is HEND.yup but i just took out the rest of the garbage that is not needed actually lol!!!.try it.if it does not work then try using the generic dowgrader then

Keal man! I can't believe you gave me just HEND!
BUT I LOVE YA MAN! It actually worked; anyhow, can you gimme the devhook link and the correct snes link and tell me what to do; man o man do I love you. And can you make it easy like you made the HEND file?
Is it safe to reset my PSP while I just used HEND?

Keal lol, please answer,I'll give you an exact instruction:
1.) I installed the 1.5 SNES both % and non to my game folder.... my HEND works
2.) Please give me the Devhook file and tell me where to extract it
3.) Once I run devhook, I put it on 1.5, then it will give version 1.5
4.) It should run now?

yup it should run snes no problem

when it finish,if u do not minded in doing this,format your memorystick.then open the rar file that u download and just extract it to your memorystick main.that is when you open the removable drive in my computer.
well if u did not format ur memorystick then it will ask u to overwrite just do it.but it is best to format first.
try doing it without formating it and try your luck if it does not work then do the format

Well keal, I hope you're happy, you've gave me a download that will take the rest of the night :)
Anyways, is this an all in 1 download? I've formatted my memory stick, so please give me clear directions on what to do.
Do I take your first, easy HEND file and extract it, then extract the file that I'm downloading right now to my PSP's main root as well?

what?!? chaosnova man i told u cple months before that u gotta emulate 1.5 first using devhook and hen and just now u got hend and devhook working?
now there shouldnt be problems man cuz it turned out that all u didnt do was emulate 1.5
