ok so i got a ps2 slimline and my sisters keep messing up my cds and i want to back them up without using a mod chip or boot disks i looked at the tape and tissue mod but if i did that would i be able to play backup games and is there enyway in f'in world that you can play ps2 backups on your ps2 slimline without spending a PENNY! There Has To Be A Way Ive Heard That People Have Done It Can You Please Tell Me Thanks

The tape and tissue mod is not to boot games by itself it is for swap disc and is used for swapping disc with it, there is NOOOO possible way to playing backups without a modchip or a bootdisc so whoever told you that lied to you and if there were then i'm sure people wouldn't be wasting their money on boot disc or modchips in the first place ;) A boot disc only cost about $20 online i don't see why you guys keep asking these silly questions when you already know the answer.....

And if you still want to listen to your "buddies" about whether you can play backups without spending a penny then your best bet is to google search.
