DVD BURNER PROBLEM HELP

Help. I was trying to burn a movie with DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter and neither wanted to burn it so I had to install Patin-Couffin for dvd copy and now even after reformatting my computer I can't get my dvd rom to recognise any cds or dvds. It says the device is working properly and yet it won't all me to play any dvds or cds put into this drive! HELP!!!!!!
