Good morning all,

I'm in the process of purchasing a DVD copying software but confussed on which to buy. I have been reading up on alot of them and also looking at the 2007 review on all. The one that sticks out is "DVD CLONER IV" It's a good price of $39.00 with pretty much all the features. Does anyone know anything about this software and would you recomend another??

Thanks for any assistance

Mr. Ireland,

Would I need to purchase "BOTH" CloneDVD and AnyDVD to get it to work?? The DVD Cloner IV said it had the decrypter already in it runing in the back ground. Is on of the ones you mentioned a copyer and the othe a decryper??

AnyDVD will work with Shrink and DVD Decrypter like a match made in heaven.

AnyDVD is the only non-free dvd program that I consider advising anyone to purchase. Usually there's a discount every now and then, which one expired 11-30-06. Try the free 21 day trial and keep an eye at christmas time for another discount from slysoft.

Anything else that's not free,avoid!!!!

The freebie programs are very good.Yes most are no longer updated, but that's where AnyDVD kicks in. It'll rip the newer encryptions for both dvd and cd,sets drives region free-and no extra step. It even have a ripping capability now.

You have a lot of support here at AD for the freebie ware in case questions or issues arrise.

Dvd shrink - ripper,compressor-handles most movies on it's own.
Dvd decrypter - ripper,burn engine
ImgBurn - burn engine, similar to DVD Decrypter but better.
Dvd fab decrypter-ripper
If you have a Nero 6 oem disc around, they are very good.

Dvd-9 originals to blank DVD-R single layer media:

My main programs are ripping and compressing with DVD Shrink and autoburning with Nero.It should also autoburn with CopyToDVD and DVD Decrypter. Once in a while I'll enable AnyDVD in the background- Columbia/Sony releases, but majority of time I leave is disabled.

You can use file mode of DVD Decrypter, but still have to go through DVD Shrink to compress-adding more time to your backup process.

Dvd-5 originals to blank DVD-5 single layer and DVD-9 originals to blank DVD-9 Dual layer media:

Rip using DVD Decrypter in mode ISO read. Burn the mds files with ImgBurn. Quicker process time than DVD Shrink because of no compression so you get a 1:1 copy.

Yes and at $59 (less with the current promotion) for both it is money well spent. Constant updates on AnyDVD and nice vid quality with Clone in a very easy to use package. These are dedicated people who want their product to work right and will make sure it does.

Right out of the box you should be able to get great, no hassle results.

Thanks for the info,

I am running Nero 7., can I use this as my burner and have AnyDVD as my decrypter or do I also need CloneDVD??. If so will CloneDVD have conflicts with Nero 7.

Thanks
