Hi there, new to the forum.
I just bought a Sagem D-Box today from Germany in debug mode and i plugged it in and there are no channels.
Troied a scan and it found nothing.
Very confused by it all as i was told that i would just need to perform a scan???
I recieved the box leads and whatever plus a cd with files on it that i dont what for.
Any help please??

Got some of the channels through some of the advice from the experts on the forum, very helpful.
Problem i have now though is that i don't have all the channels that i should have, Sky movies, E4, Ch5, ITV2 etc etc...
I'm from NTL Scotland area.
Any help would be much appreciated folks.

whe you scan for channels how many transpoders does it see?

It sees 303 with bruteforce and 188 with the other 2 mate.

sounds about right, when you go to the bouquet editor create go in to the group you want the channel to be in, click add (green) look for the missing channels click ok on each one, then home and exit back to tv. now you should have the channels added to list.
If the channels are not there when you go to add, let me know.

I am having exactly the same problem with my box, it was working perfectly until my brother tried to do a rescan, but lost alot of channels like sky sports 1, 2 & 3, the movies,, E4 etc.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Hi People,
New to forum as well, and I am having the same problem. Got given a sagem dbox and when first connected could view all sky sports etc. Now I can't view them. I've noticed that the channels i can't see has a yellow marker in the bottom right of the screen.
Any ideas?

as per my original post, if you get the FTA channels like BBC1 and none of the subscription channels like Sky Sports 1 - you keys have not been updated or autorolled - go to sky sports 1 leave it on their and the softcam will autoamtically detect and pick up the new keys.

Hi mate, thanks for your reply, but sky sports 1, 2, or 3, or any movies channels, none of them show up when i go to the channel list.
Do you have any idea why this would be?

Just got a Sagem DBox and
1) it takes forever to download when left to tune into a Sky channel so I've scanned in all channels.
2) they all get downloaded in about 20 minutes but don't stay tuned in , so when you swirtch channels the signal is lost on everything except the terrestial channels.
Checked all connections several times-but it keeps happening.
Any ideas from fellow sufferers or the experts out there please?

d oyou get a blank screen when you go to channels like Sky Sports yet BBC 1, ITV is OK

Hi - no those channels are OK - I've been told it could be that the box needs 'reflashing' whatever that means. If this solves the problem I'll post and let everyone know.
Any idea what 'reflashing is?

How old are your service files mate?. Reflashings basicly wiping all off it and replacing it with the latest software for it to be able have the ability to recieve all the cable channels. Without it , it wont work

Don't know-the guy I bought it from is checking it and says it runs fine and retains channels in memory, but not when I run it this end!
How important is it to put the channels into the 'bouquet' before switching channels? - I just wonder whether this might be part of the problem when I moved around channels using the up/down button??? (or maybe I'm clutching at straws).
Can anyone tell me how to reflash it myself in case this happens again please - do you need any special software etc??
