what kind of file is it ? to use DVD Shrink the file has to be a VOB file or a img file, if it is any other file you need to convert the file, a good program that will do a good job converting any file is vso"s convertxtodvd, the is a trial version but the trial version will leave a watermark on the disk or movie but when you buy the program it will not leave a watermark and also it has a builtin burnner, hope this helps good luck happy burning have a nice day

Sounds like a codec issue. Try this: http://mirror.edskes.net/ Some people say not to use codec packs but I have used the Kazza Lite pack (Standard) for over 3 years with no problems and no file that wouldn't open. Just make sure you uninstall any other codecs as they can conflict. Also, the only difference in packs is options installed and a few codecs in the Mega pack that I've never needed with hundred's of files. If Shrink still gives errors, have a look at CloneDVD2 by Slysoft. Is this by any chance a copy protected disc or is it on your harddrive? AnyDVD (again by Slysoft) and CloneDVD2 are all you will ever need to copy protected disc's (not free, though). See if anything here is useful to you, too: http://www.dvdplusvideo.com/tutorial007.html Edit: I didn't know that about Shrink, that's most likely it but I can second VSO.
