alright....so my room mate just finished putting a new desktop together. and theres already something wrong with it. the main thing being that when he attempts to use the mouse it doesnt want to work all the time correctly. when he goes to click on the start menu, it wont pop up nor does anything on the desktop. but if he opens task manager, and closes it, the computer works fine for a while. but then acts up again in about 10 minutes or so. it just started doing it about 2 days ago. so we have no clue whats going on. weve tried several different mouses to no avail. so any help would be helpful here, as we need to fix this asap.

Hi wabashman, my apologies for the delay.

HijackThis log is clean so I don't think the problem is related to malware. May have better luck asking the guys in the Window - General forum. Sorry I can't be of more assistance. Good luck. :)
