I am just wanting to add an external hard drive to my xbox 360 to put about 45gb of music on it. Looking for about an 80gb. What would you recommmend? I was wanting a small one. Nothing to cumbersome. I bought a SimpleTech - Pininfarina 80GB External Hard Drive, but the xbox would not recognize it.

I belive they are the same thing only the one I posted above uses a 2.5 drive, not a 3.5 Dive like the one I have.
Are you runing Windows bootcamp on your Mac. It is a great pice of software that lets you have the Windows OS on your Intel Mac. At bootup you just decide what OS you want to start. If you have that you can streem Music to your 360 from your mac.

The Beta version is free if you have an Intel Mac. It might save you 100 bucks.

I bought the Western Digital My Book Essential 250GB External USB 2.0 Hard Drive
Model: WDG1U2500N @ Best Buy today. It went off sale so it was $149.99 but Circuit City has the same one for 79.99. So Best Buy did a price match. Awesome deal if anyone needs one. Just tried it on the xbox 360 and it works just fine. Even using it through the extra USB Port on my HD-DVD player for the xbox. Thanks for all the help!!

Yes that's right, but it only works that way with Windows Media Center Version 2005 only, not with any anterior Windows versions.I have version 2003 and I am stuck.

if your stuck using a regular version of XP like i was at first you can always get windows media player 11 and go to the library tab at the top it should have a little arrow click that and go down to media sharing click that and then check the little box that says share media and click ok and there ya go go to your music or video tabs on 360 and click computer and its right there for you
