Can this firmware be downgraded to 1.5 yet at all if yes can someone tell me how? I have yet to open it to check the board, if i need to do this then i`ll come to that bridge when it comes.
PSP 1003 is on the bar code

I currently have a psp1006 and that was already a 1.5 so i didn`t really need to work to hard on that one. but the other one is going to be a present for Christmas so im kinda stuck..

Thanks in advance

if you are talking about the barcode that has nothing to do with the firmware. for example PSP1001 are US.

Yeah i realised that, the PSP1003 come from the UK.

Do i have to open the back of the PSP is the mobo numbers clearly visable from opening the UMD tray? As i can just about see some something, but looks like it starts with a Nmuber 1 rather then an T but then its too close a resemblence to guess...

Yeah you have to. You can look at the letter on the box to determine the firmware though.

* F and below - is definitely not a TA-082.
* G and H - is probably not a TA-082.
* I - is far too likely to be a TA-082; core or value pack are equally likely.
* J and above - The likelihood of a TA-082 increases but is not universal.

no letter = 1.0 (Japanese Release) 1.5 (North-American release) confirmed
A = 1.5 confirmed
B = 1.51 confirmed
C = 1.52 confirmed
D = 1.52 confirmed
E = 1.52 confirmed
F = 2.0 confirmed
G = 2.01 confirmed
H = 2.50 confirmed
I = 2.60 confirmed
J = 2.70 unconfirmed
K = 2.71 confirmed
L = 2.81 unconfirmed

Hope that helps.

i have just had a full on argument with an idot how seem to think you can play backups on a TA-82 board. IS this possible? I think its not... But he seems to think ya don`t have to downgrade just flash...

you can run backups on TA-082 if it is 2.71 or below(you have to upgrade to 2.71 though). You have to flash a few files but you can cannot perform an all out downgrade.

great.. so I lost my argument. Whats the actual difference between all in all downgrade and just runing backups from 2.71?

thanks

you install a lower firmware when you downgrade(usually to 1.5). when using HenD on a TA-082 it is just emulating 1.5)

oh ok.. Accoring to the table above to determine the firmware via the box..

This box shows a C = 1.52 does this mean it was orignaly a 1.52 and was just upgraded via UMD to 2.6?

When placing the 2.71 eboot file into PSP/GAME/UPDATE

I then run this from the PSP, then I intilize the following

http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/755

and thats it? I do not need to dump any 1.5 files anywhere?
