Some games not working - please read b4 shouting at me! lol

Firstly, I am a PSP n00b - however i am not stupid.
I have read an unbelievable amount of threads on here trying to find my answer, but all of them dont relate to the firmware etc on mine.
I am running 2.71 SE-C, and I have no other homebrew's (such as devhook etc) and i am sucessfully running most games off the memory card, however some like: Daxter, GTA LCS, Metal Gear Acid 2, Pro Evo 6, Tenchu, Tony Hawks wont work - they either come up with the "Game could not be started" error, or they just black screen and shutdown.
I've seen afew solutions like using Aenea's decryptor and swapping the PRX's for those of 1.5's, but ive tried both of these (admitidly not with all those games tho) and I cannot get them working. Please can some one direct me?

are you using the no umd mode , if so then some games will not work.
also try using devhook 0.51.01 which is the latest.

Yeah im on no umd mode. Does that mean if i switch the modes and use a umd i might be able to get the games working?
I used to have devhook - but i couldnt understand how to use that to run the games. I would load the iso (in devhook this is) and leave the CPU speed, do it so it was 1.50 no umd and when i clicked start it would just black screen and shutdown.

ok but if you dont wanna get one then try using devhook(that needs a UMD too!!!)

Yet another thing I can try, i dont fully get that tho cos ive looked at my devhook (not sure what version cos ive not got it on my psp, ive just copied the files to my hdd) and i cant see the sysmem.prx
Ahwel, im gonna try the games with the umd option enabled and see how that goes first - i'll let you know.
