is it possible to run AR Max cheat device when playing a game from the hard drive? if not are there any better cheat devices for the Xbox that do work on games from hard drive?

yes, they are called trainers
AR Max is only good for game saves when it comes to Xbox

If you want cheats you need to download trainers and put them on the xbox. They work pretty much like a cheat disc, without the disc
you go into the trainer once it is there, you enable the cheats you
want to use and press start and it automatically launces the game
with cheats enabled. The only other type are cheats that you either enter a code or use the controller buttons to enter.

sign up there (it's free)
they not only have a great trainer launcher called Xored
but whole trainer packs. Which means you can download trainers
for hundreds of games in one simple file.
then you just have to put the Xored launcher in your apps folder, and the trainers in your trainer folder.

i am not sure if you can do this without a modded Xbox
if you have a stock Xbox you will have to use controller cheats or game saves.

yeah 'trainers' wouldn't of been what i would of called them, they don't do allot for training you to do much other then cheat :)but i have found them handy when you have a game with autosave (like half-life 2) and it saves you in the middle of a battle with 1pt of life and a few hundred bullets flying at you.

LOL, yeah that does suck hard. That just annoys me because other than going back to the last save and trying to do better you are pretty much stuck. without a good trainer of course. :)
I like them for simpe things but nothing that ruins the game for me.
Like inf. ammo and all weapons. That is pretty much all i would really ever use.

KC, if you have a good gaming PC Half-Life 2 EP 1 was really fun, although very short.
And F.E.A.R. is just great.

i absolutely can't stand playing a PC based game, call me crazy but I've got to have 62" of widescreen action.

nah, your not crazy. It took me quite a while to get use to it.
The whole keyboard and mouse thing still pisses me off. But games like F.E.A.R. and Half-Life 2 Episode 1 are not out on consoles and well worth getting.
Also games like NFS Carbon are a whole different game on PC than
on the console, much much better.

I have a 56" DLP TV myself so i feel your pain when it comes to a 19"
PC screen, LOL

Guess if i wanted to i could get a long cord because my TV has a port for a PC to hook up.

i really wasn't that impressed with the XBOX Half-life 2 game, it was OK but not all that great by any means. for a shoot em up i prefer the PS2 and Metal Gear or Kill.Switch (got it on the box too) but most of my box time is spent playing Madden '07 seams thats the only way the Broncos can will the Super Bowl
