Best way to emulate 3.01-3.02 firmware?

Hello, I am currently emulating firmware 3.01 using devhook 0.51.00
i have a 2.71 psp with a TA-082 mobo.
I just got a 2.5 firmware PSP.
Can anyone please suggest the best option for emulating 3.01 with this PSP?
Should I just upgrade it to 2.71 and follow the same procedure, or is there a better method to take advantage of with a 2.5 PSP?
What Version of devhook is needed? etc.etc.

No there is no better method, only firmware 1.5 and 2.71 can run ISOs.

Just follow this guide:

However if the 2.5 firmware PSP does not have a TA-082 motherboard then you should upgrade it to firmware 2.71 and then downgrade it to firmware 1.5.

It does not have a TA-82 mobo.
My main goal is to be able to play Metal Gear Solid on this PSP. Will I be able to so so after downgrading to 1.5?
Can I emulate 3.02 f/w on 1.5?

Yeah you can emulate 3.02 on firmware 1.5.

Once you have downgraded to firmware 1.5, just follow my guide:

make shure your cousin doesnt upgrade your psp to a frimware like 2.8 or higher cuz i've seen lots of ppl complain about there friends/cousins/brothers/sisters upgrading there psp by 'accident' or bricking em

Yeah, the easiest way to stop someone from upgrading your PSP is by setting up the "firmware spoof" using Xflash. This tricks your PSP into thinking it has a higher firmware so then it wont update.

Yeah one of my mates has now got to go and buy a new psp on friday as he lent it to one of his work mates to take home for a shot and he upgraded that night at home and brought it back in to work with 3.02(D*ck), what makes people who you lend your psp to think that they can take it home and muck about with it!,it's not theres.
