Well, I took my whole xbox 360 apart, and I am told I need more than just a SATA cable and a computer to flash the DVD drive. What else would I need?

You will need a compatible SATA card in your PC. Find out if you have one on your motherboard first. Also, find out the type of drive you have in your 360 (Sammy/Hitachi) and find out what F/W it has on it. Then you will need to download the actual firmware and Xtreme bootmaker.

Piece of software that helps you flash your 360 by creating a custom MTKflash for you and creating a bootable floppy/cd/USB drive for you to use. Search google for it.

Oh, I unplug the SATA cable from the 360 when I get the card, and use that?
