I've an animation video, and I'd like to pull out, edit (clean up and all that) individual frames, then put the new frames back in, in the place of the old ones. If, say, there's a run of the video (a few seconds) where it looks like the film print it was taken from had an obvious splice. Identify the individual frames, pull them into a graphic editor (photoshop, paint shop pro, and so on), "fix" the splice, replace the frames, and now play the cleaned up video clip.
