Hello,

I first Want to Know what is Better Dax or Cso?

You should use CSO as DAX isn't supported by DevHook 0.51.

and Then what Compression Level I should Be Using?

Use a compression level of 9 at first but if the compressed file doesnt work or it lags then lower the compression level.

Also in UMDGEN I know people "Rip" Games so My Question is What Can you Safely "RIP" Out of a Game?

To rip a game follow eternalis guide:
http://eternal-psp.a22.biz/index.php?opt...id=30&Itemid=31

Last Question I know Thats some Games just Can't be Compressed without Lagging pretty Bad Like GTA:VC, and few Others, is There a List of Games That Can't be compressed?

Yes and Heres The Link:

Another Good List That has to do with Iso Compression is The,
PSP ISO/CSO Smallest Size List:

Thank you I will Check Out Your Guide.

On the ither hand Im more confussed than ever about The compression Part..

Im using Ciso Compressor . You said Use a Level of 9 Right. But I noticed That level 9 is The Lowest Level of Compression Correct?

So If The Game Lags Why would I Increase The Compression Level?
Wouldn't That Make it worse?

also I read some Where That there is a list of game That compress well however I have not been able to locate such a List does one exist.

Thank you for not bashing me

No the compression level 9 is the highest compression level. There is a list on the forums of the sizes of the CSOs when compressed but I haven't seen one about the games that compress well. I will look around for you.

Yeah I'm sure, maybe the ISO file didn't compress properly (i.e the compression didn't finish) when you did it again with the second compression level.

Thanks I Followed Your Guide and Was able to Make a 674mb Version of Project 8 That as far as can Tell Doesn't Crash .

Thank You

also If That List doesn't Exist Then Maybe someone should Make a List Of Games That DONT Compress Well Like GTA:VC..
It would be Helpful to Know before you started to Rip a Game or Compress to Know That it Not going to Work Or Lag Like Crazy.

No problem. You can post a thread like that if you want and then ask people to post the games that work (I'm too lazy to:) )

Very helpful thread. Thought I'd bump it for people like me who are new to the scene that are looking for compression answers.
