I copied SDVR '07 & Marvel:Ultimate Alliance last weekend with DVD Decrypter and M:UA works flawlessly, but Smackdown wont load up. I later tried it using the CD Loader as well and it went through the "Checking for SDVR 2007 data" part, but when it got to the "Now Loading" screen, it just stayed there for ten minutes. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I need to do to fix this? Thanks in advance!

Try rebuilding the ISO with Gnie's ExPERT v1.05: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/18/275350#1725918

Hey there...

I had some terrible issues with this game. To be honest, it doesnt need to be rebuilt. I had an old fat ps2 with an old laser...it wouldnt even play my original anymore. I bought a new ps2 and burned the game at 4x with TY media and now it runs perfect.

HTH,
Brian.

I've got an old fat PS2 too. Could that really be the issue, cause my other copyed games work fine on it(except for a Madden '06 which I put on a crappy quality DVD)?

Well, I got it to work by using Zoneloader.

I loaded up my Swap Magic V2.0 DVD, swapped it for Zoneloader, booted that up, swapped it for SVR2007 and it worked perfectly. I have to say though, the game isn't what I expected. The controls and gameplay has worsened in my opinion.

I got it to work with the combination of SM 3.6 and Zoneloader. Works flawlessly. BTW, I use the Slimline PS2

To the OP...

It could very well be your ps2. Have u tried playing your original?

My original only worked once. Then it started doing this skipping thing inside the ps2 and didnt work thereafter.

I tried using zoneloader and it would load but never get to the start screen. I would try your backup on another machine. And definatly use a high grade media like TY or Verbatim or Ritek.

Oh...and I was disappointed with this game as well.

I finally got this thing to load & I was so disappointed with the controls that I threw out my copy. I ended up getting a new PS2 and that cleared up my problem. Thanks to everybody who offered help!

I was annoyed with the controls too, but after messing around with the in game options I found out that you are able to change the controller settings back to how they were in the previous games. Just go to options > Controller Settings > And choose Type D. :)

I was wondering if anyone can give me some advice. I have a V4 PS2 with a Duo2SE modchip. I use DVDDecryptor to do my backups & I typically have no issues. When trying to backup my copy of Marvel Ultimate Alliance everything appears to go normal, but the PS2 never will recognize the game as a "Playstation 2 compatible disc" (the red screen). I'm using a Sony burner with Verbatim 16X DVD-R discs. As I said, usually I've had no problems as I've backed up many games before. I've burned 3 copies & none work.

Does your original copy work? If it doesnt...then you know there is a read problem. My original copies of the games were starting to give me issues.

I then purchased a new ps2 and since then I have been just fine. Both originals and backups work perfect.

Verbatims should be ok...just try burning at 4x and 8x and see what happens.

Hello tincbtrar,

Appreciate the feedback. My original does work & I burned the duplicates at 8X. I still get the red screen at boot-up. I just don't know why this one is any different from the countless others I've done.
