I dont want to have to uninstall devhook, se-c, and install usbhosts devhook just to play my 1GB+ games then re-update to se-c, devhook 3.02 then install the socom update to get online. Its really stupid.

EDIT- Or is there a usbhosts varient?

No there is no usbhost for devhook 0.51 emulating 3.02. And it may take longer than you think. This is because any firmware above 2.71 uses a different USB.PRX file. So therefore the usbhostfs.prx (the file that is used for running ISOs from USB) must be re-written to get it to work on 3.02.

2.71 huh? well that rules out any firmware that will run sftb2 online. Thanks for the response.

Oh, wait... Is there a way to get both devhook 3.02 and devhook with usbhosts to both work(not at the same exact time obviously) on the 2.71 se-c custom firmware so you dont have to uninstall devhook 3.02 and se-c to use usbhosts? In other words, never uninstall the 2.71 se-c firmware, never uninstall either devhook, and you can use either devhook without problems. Possible?

EDIT- for some reason the "launcher mod" or whatever its called doesnt work on my se-c even after not having any other devhook installed.

Yeah. All you have to do is get the DevHook 0.46 w/ USB Mod. Then you open up the EBOOT.PBP in the non-% folder in a hex editor. Then replace all instances of dh with hd. Now rename the DevHook 0.46 dh folder to hd and put it in the root of your memory stick. Now copy the modified DevHook 0.46 files. Then you can run both DevHooks.

Also there is a USB Mod to allow you to use USB in DevHook 0.51 but only for firmware 2.71 or below.

Wait, "Also there is a USB Mod to allow you to use USB in DevHook 0.51 but only for firmware 2.71 or below" then cant you just install 2.71 with 3.02 and use 2.71 for usb and 3.02 for the newer online games that require an update patch(sftb2)?

I put the 271 dh folder from a "launcher mod" or whatever was from that sticky usb tut and it would load it. "load error".

EDIT- Now I cant even get it to bootup!

So are you trying to use DevHook 0.51 with that dh folder? If not that wont work.

Instead search for the USB mod at Maxconsole (sorry I couldn't find it cos you can't search for USB as its too short and I dont want to go through several pages of threads to find it). Or you can just download the DevHook 0.46 USB Mod and then hexedit it.

Huh? Im using devhook .51.010 with 3.02 and I put the 271 folder in the dh folder. I just now started it up and it worked(loaded). Now how do you actually load from the usb? You cant select it from the XMB or from the devhook screen so how do you set it up to check the usb connection?

You have to run the actual mylaunchermod's EBOOT.PBP which has the USB feature. You can't just use the dh folder.

Huh? Can you say how to do the whole setup? I went back to 1.5 from my 2.71 custom but I still cant load the modded devhook.

K, I mean this:

1. Download DevHook 0.46 w/ USB mod from here:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=55KKC6HB
2. Download this hex editor:
http://www.chmaas.handshake.de/delphi/freeware/xvi32/xvi32.htm
3. Extract MS_ROOT.zip and then open the EBOOT.PBP file in the __SCE__DH_MOD folder with the hex editor.
4. Now go to Search-->Replace.
5. Then under the find option select 'Text string' and type in dh in the text field.
6. Under the replace with option, select "text string' and type in hd in the text field.
7. Now click replace all. An information dialog will pop-up, just press OK.
8. Now save the file and then copy __SCE__DH_MOD and %__SCE__DH_MOD to X:\PSP\GAME\ (where X is the drive letter of your PSP).
9. Now get the DevHook 0.46 "dh" folder and rename it to "hd" and put it in the root of your memory stick.
10. Download USBHostfs from here:
http://rapidshare.de/files/26705803/usbhostfs_PC_Win.zip.html
11. Extract it to a folder.
12. Now follow steps 5-10 of this guide:
http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/369769

Now your ISOs should work via USB (provided they can run on firmware 2.71)!

EDIT: Ok I found some more files which you have to edit, so just repeat steps 4-7 with these files as well:
hd/kd/devhook.prx
hd/kd/modfiles/usbhostfs.prx

I dont think the dh folder is a problem as the new devhook load firmware 2.71 just fine. I still did that though anyways and it still gives me the error "devhook could not load/start" when I click the DEVHOOK launcher mod 1.35.

Thats the problem then. Download the full DevHook 0.46 w/ USB and you will get it.

Ok scrap most of what I said above, it turns out this doesn't work for the DevHook that I posted a link to in my other post. But it does work with the DevHook 0.46 GUI Launcher Mod (just tested it now).

Im copying it over but my problem is that I couldnt even bootup the launcher screen. Would that happen if the kd folder isnt there?

Ok sorry about that.

Anyway I found the article at Maxconsole about how to use USBHost on DevHook 0.51:

I reverted back and it works. Heres how its setup:
+dh
+302
+271
+kd
+psp
+game
+the devhook mod(not actually what the folders are)
+devhook 5(not actually what the folders are)
Notice I didnt do the hd thing. For some reason they peacefully co-exist. Thanks for your help:)

EDIT- fixed the smily(rolls eyes)
