Download flashing assistant mate..

http://www.dboxservice-hallenberg.de/freedownloads.php

read the tutorial at http://www.hackable.cc/forum/showthread....shing+assistant

If you have tried flashing assistant and the screen on your box is still blank, uninstall as it send data back to your PC and install it again and it will work :-)

If you know the ip address, then use a x-over cable, just make sure your pc / laptop that you are using to flash the dbox is on the same subnet mask. For example:

dbox ipaddress is: 192.168.1.100
subnet mask is: 255.255.255.0

laptop / pc ipaddress is: 192.168.1.101
subnet mask is: 255.255.255.0

Make sure you disable all firewall and virus software (Norton, McAfee, etc). If you are using windows XP, disable the Windows firewall through the control panel.

Power down the dbox
Connect the x-over cable to the laptop and dbox
Run the Image Flashing Assistant
Select the correct image (2xI)
Make sure you select the correct network adapter and click next
Click on OK and then power up the dbox
LCD on dbox should display Flashing...

After about 10minutes, LCD should display "Flashing done!"

Cliick OK on the IFA program, remove the x-over cable, power off and power on the dbox

You should now be able to do a scan for all channels.

Let us know how you get on.

Good Luck!

I had to re-flash an dbox using IFA ,

what you need

1 - PC
2 - Image file for your box
3 - Cross over cable
4 - cup of tea and coffee

what you need to do is as follows

1 On PC set network card settings to 10 mb half
2 On PC set static IP of PC/laptop to 192.168.3.10 and subnet 255.255.255.0
3 - Disable Firewall/Anti Virus on PC

dont worry about the DBox IP Address as IFA will use ARP to assign an IP Address (remember when you get a keine system you network wont start up network thus no IP address can be assigned to the DBox)

here we go....

-power down the DBox
-connect PC and DBox with cross over cable
-start up IFA select your Image and the network card of your PC
-when the message window appears in IFA informing you what to do
- click OK
- fire up the DBox

on the LCD you will see it erasing and flashing the image
when the message FERLUG appears on the LCD of the DBox all done -
FERLUG means Ready

Drink your tea or coffee - this will take about 10 minutes

unplug cross over cable from dBox and reset via the front panel buttons.

and voila one working dBox

still having problems, email me at admin@netwave.redirectme.net

The IP doesnt matter if the system has gone, you have to flash with IFA.

IFA uses ARP to assign an IP address to the DBox - as the box is knackered the network can not be started therefore no IP Address can be assigned to the box that way, ARP allows you to talk to the dBox via the MAC Address of the network card of the dBox and IFA thus assigns a IP Address to the MAC Address.

Whenever you get channel not available after flashing or rescanning you need to reset evocamd.

Using sportster image go into Sportster Menu then EMU selection menu

BLUE/OK/GREEN/OK
or
BLUE/OK/YELLOW/OK

Then reboot with power off and channel up buttons held at the same time for about 4 secs until lcd goes completely blank (buttons on dbox not remote)
