Gamers with a ta-082 there is a little scam you could do with sony, ive done it twice and it worked. go ring sony customer services (number in the back of psp manual) and say to them that you have damaged your psp dead pixels no sound etc and they will give you a refurbished psp which might be a 2.71 and you will be able to downgrade. it has worked.

but are u sure sony didnt just give u any psp?
Im not not sure, but i dont think they would put all their time and effort just to give you a psp with fw 2.71.
And just curiuos, what waz ur fw before u sent it to sony???

i had a 2.8 psp and the psp they gave me was a firmware 2.6. i downgraded it to 1.5. this was a ta-082 motherboard.

sony dont have the time to phone people and ask them that there is nothing wrong with the psp. they just pack it and send it to another person.
