I can't figure out how to run HEND.
From the guides I have read, I think I should do this....
1. Go to Photo
2. Go to Memory Stick
3. Select HEND.
Here is where the problem, I don't see hend, all I see are my pictures. I downloaded the program and copied it to the MS_ROOT folder in the root directory of the memory stick.
If I go to Game, memory stick I see two corrupt files, is this the problem? I have download HEND twice and copied it to the memory stick with no luck.
PLEASE help! Thanks,

never mind! I figured it out. I had created a MS_root folder in the root directory of the memory stick, not the correct process. I needed to have the files in the ms_root folder in the root directory.
Thanks for the help

guys u did it all wrong follow this
1.HEN D
http://dl.qj.net/dl.php?fid=11444
1.open "hend" with WinRAR (known as homebrew enabler Revision D)
2.plug psp to computer then on psp screen go to "USB connection"
3.open the folder "MS_ROOT" and move all the files here to your "memorystick"
that means when u open ur memorystick drive from computer
(just drag it to that place),(if ask to overwrite, click yes)
4.go back, open devhook and move "dh" to your "memorystick" that
means when u open ur memorystick drive from computer(just drag it to that place),(if ask to overwrite, click yes).
remember ms_root is just your memorystick root,it is not a folder.thay just make the folder ms_root to tell u that u have to put it in your memorystick main folder.that is when you go to MY computer and choose the removable drive,it will open a folder rite.that is the memorystick root already.lol guys!!!!!

kealvalro your guide is a little hard to understand for a newbie.....
which I am sad to say, I am.
It's a little confusing.... here are my questions....
This is the option I choose.
Step A):update your psp to 2.71
Step B):moving Homebrew Enabler REV D[HEND] to psp
Step C):moving Devhook v0.46 ultimate installer v1.1.1 to psp FIRST WAY
Step D):installing 1.50 dump firmware to psp
Step E):installing DEVHOOK Launcher/VSHEX Mod 1.65b to psp
Step F):Starting the first time
Step G):playing iso through usb cable.
Step A. no problem
Step B. No Problem
Step C. no problem
Step D. no problem
Step E. Small Problem, figured it out... All is ok.
Step F. PROBLEMS.... HERE is where I NEED help..... see below.
What is this file? UMD SELECT : XMB-BOOT[usus-00001].cso
Where do I get it? Is it manditory?
I don't understand this part either.
Quote:
4.hold the HOME button for three sec then use the analog to move,ok now set these final settings
move the analogstick right in text font to enter, put the cursor on internal font then move the analogstick left to go back.
now put the cursor on status layout and move the analogstick right and choose ICON/HALF SCREEN then move the analogstick right to apply.done
now press HOME,no need to hold.now u can see the image and details of the iso.
Where do I do this? Is it after the psp is rebooted? When I hold the home button, I never see a pointer. What am I supposed to see when I hold the HOME button.
And most importantly... how do I run the ISO? Do I a UMD disk inserted? Where do I go to run the game on the memorystick?
Thanks for all your hard work, it is much apprecited for us newbies..
Can't wait to here back from you with some answers, since I have been working for 2 days to get this psp working. Thanks again.

hey there, ahh follow this step instead.so u have emulated 2.71 rite then.
this is just to play iso games
hope u have put an iso game into the iso folder
Press the HOME button then u will see at the bottom.the game image.now use the analogstick to choose the game u want then move the analogstick right.lastly place a umd disk inside.ur game that is in the umd is not being used but instead the iso is being emulated as the game.good luck

Hi kealvalro,
Sorry I still am a little confused.
This is where I am at now....
1.When I am in devhook, i see the image of the ISO game.
2. I click start
3. the psp appears to reboot, and goes into devhook mode with a dark blue background.
4. I insert a UMD
Now what do I do? Talk to me like I am a 2 year old, I need a step by step guide please.
I think i am supposed to go to game, then hold the HOME button correct? I know that the analog stick is the black movable pad now.
Thanks for your time a patients, it's much appreciated. Once I get this thing working I'll be more then happy to help others.

select the removable drive (that puts it into ms root)
