I just recently bought verbatim DVD+R 16x. I already tried burning 2 ps2 games and one of them got stuck on the loading screen and the other one just wouldn't start up. If i play a regular PS2 game, it works. When i use the HP 8x DVD+R games i have, they work fine too.

My Verbatim media code is MCC004

I've heard that using DVD-R discs are better. (i never had problems with them)

Yet i heard that + and - dont matter when your ps2 can read both. I have a v10 and it should be enough to use +R. I tried burning another 2 games and they both dont work. Some are choppy during the gameplay which the others dont even start up

They do matter DVD-R are much easier for the PS2 Laser to read i prefer that DVD-R.....i had problems when i used Maxell DVD+R...but after i switched to DVD-R they pretty much work Flawlessly =)
