I read in a thread here that its finally happening and that they're banning MAC addresses with Gears of War.

Can someone confirm this?

I have version 1.3 of the Xtreme Firmware, and i'm too afraid to go on Xbox live and find out for myself.

man i got a backup of GOW and someothers and i do play it everyday nd all day(after work)i just been playing 2day and no problem on live..

Ya, I came across that post and then followed his post. That guy which claimed to be banned was a known cheater. He was modding his gamer score. There was a story awhile back about how MS was going to start banning people who were paying to raise their score.

I was just playing GOW online the other day with no problem.

I played about 7 games today online with xtreme 1.3 and xtreme 2.3 stealth. Both consoles worked.

Ah, okay. Guess I was just getting worried over nothing. I saw that guy's gamerscore. Thats was crazy. There probably isn't even that many achievements out there.

I was on gears of war last night for a good 4 hours and no problems on my box. Glad its not true as i'm only just getting into this game!
