Hi there all want to get a dbox2 but dont know what make or where the best place to get 1 can any 1 advise me where the best place to get 1 and what the diffrene between eurvox,dreambox compared to nokia or sagem.

DBox II can be purchased from Germany for about 100 pounds plus 20 pound shipping. The most common manufacturer are Nokia or Sagem - some say Nokia are best but I have both and they do the same job.
Not sure about Eurovox, the Dreambox is the next generation of DBox - very sophisticated in what they can do.

Hi there thanks i been looking on ebay, but how safe is it getting 1 from germany do they come in english. i have heard abouth www.dbox2.co.uk are thers work ok Etc?

all the ones I purchased arrived within 5 working days with the english version of the image pre-loaded - all I did was do a full scan and hey presto got all channels.
once you get yours, and you have problems, just post here and someone will answer your query.

doesntmatter if its TW and eNel - you just go in change the Cable provider to the one your on, do a scan and thats it

hi there can anyone tell me if this is ok or not im thinkin of buying this but descrition sounds iffy?
The D-BOX 2 has been installed and configured for the UK. The D-BOX 2 is in Debug mode with Linux Neutrino installed (meaning you can change the image easily if you wish).
The D-Box was developed for the German Market so it will come with a german Power Plug and with a female Antenna in. For the UK you will need either an Adapter or cut the old Plug of and replace with a power plug suitable for the country of your residence. For the Antenna you will either need a F-Type to Male Converter or you get a Splitter and make yourself a Cable with a Male connetor.
The LCD-Display has stripes.

sounds like the normal dbox . dont worry about the stripes, I have it on my Nokia as well.. doesnt effect the box itself...
get your self one of them shaver adapter with a 1amp fuse for 1 quid and a f to coax adapter about 1 quid as well..
