that is merely a portal, it does not have the features of XP

What kind of mods? As far as I know there are no mods to make the PSP look like Windows XP (unless you count the portal as a mod- but that doesn't make the PSP function like XP).

portals are pretty dumb though, they just organize features and things you already have.

tanta, it doesn't have any reason to, the psp would be hella slow when it's using the OS, not to mention the load/boot up time that would be needed.
what exactly are you trying to accomplish?? if anything Windows Mobile CE or whatever would have a better chance of running well on a PSP before XP ever would...

I'm just wondering what exactly the point would be though, just because or is there some functionality that is wanted?

But the PSP is still a lot slower than your laptop.
This is because your laptop uses the x86 architecture and can run Windows natively. However the PSP uses the MIPS architecture, so it needs to emulate an x86 in order to run Windows- making it really slow.
