Hi everyone, I'm a complete newbie here and on the PSP (call me thick). I have had a PSP for Xmas that has V2.5 Software on it and want to use a friends downloaded software of games running from memory stick?
I have tried reading a number of threads and am confused, what I need is a kind person to give me an idiots guide on what to do with Fastloader, and all the other Downgrade, upgrade software avaiable here.
This has prob been asked before but if someone can guide me in the right direct as although I am ok with windows this is confusing.

Welcome to Afterdawn Alex.
Is your PSP a TA-082?
At the moment TA-082 users can downgrade but its risky, but if its not a TA-082, your good to go.
If its a factory V2.50 (meaning its firmware straight from the box) you,ll need to upgrade to V2.71 and no higher.
V2.71 Update
After saving the EBOOT.PBP file, make an UPDATE folder in the PSP folder of the Memory Stick, and put the file in there.
Run the Upgrade.
Easy V2.71 Downgrader
If and when you get to V1.50 post back. ;)

hi got the sam e problem my is a TA-o82 but I have the v2.81 version
what can I do?

Its TA-082 with 2.80 firmware that you can do abit with Touran. ;)

anyone know how the hacking of the 2.81 is coming along... I am despetate....:(
but i did find a v2.81 downgrade on e-mule still downloading it..
how would i know if its a fake?

Because if it aint on PSP-Hacks or QJ-UPdates or Afterdawn it aint real.
