I'm just wondering what version firmware new PSP's come with, is it the latest version that Sony releases?
I'm buying a new PSP and I'm worried that I get a firmware version that isn't downgradable.
Thanks.

At the moment in france ( where i live ), they are giving out either 2.80 or 2.81. So ur out of luck, unless u go to a used consoles place and u might get a new 1.5 PSP becaus its old stock so ittl cost u abit. Dnt buy a PSP from big stores because ull get an undowngradable PSP, go to a used console place or go on ebay. Good luck !

Shame I've already bought it....
Gah, I hate internet shopping.
What's the best way to run ISO's on the PSP then? I've heard of the ISO Loader thing, does it matter what firmware version I have?

u need either 1.5 or 2.71 or 2.71 SE-C to run isos. if you have any of these FW's then u can use devhook and run your Iso's

Ok, so I've bought that.
Now I'm extremely confused.
I have an ISO, what would be the best way to play it on the PSP?
I have heard of FastLoader, Devhook, ISOLoader... What would be the best and safest one for this task?
