Hey fellas

I can play madden07 and socom ftb2 online with the same settings, and the same wireless router(wbr-1310), I can also browse the internet, however...

when I try to play NHL 07, before the opening face-off I get an error: "network error has occured, could not connect to user"

i've tried different oponents still doesn't work... i'm running firmware 3.02....

any problem solving suggestions???

thanks in advance

Did you try turning "WLAN power save" off in the settings?

Also try using custom settings for the wifi connection (instead of easy).

Also do you have the appropriate ports opened on your router or have you DMZed your PSP's IP Address?

thanks for the quick reply

WLAN power save is always off

I will try custom WiFi settings, I just figured that wouldn't be necessary because other games worked (including EA games)

Router ports is most likely the problem.... I dont have access to the game manual so I don't know the appropriate router ports to open.. anyone know them? i've done a google search but no site specifies.....

not sure what "DMzed psp's Ip address" means so I will research that also...

again thanks in advance

DMZing your PSP's IP Address means that you open all of the ports that it uses (so you dont have to open specific ports). You can do this by going to your router's config page (for this you have to use the custom settings for the wifi on your PSP to set a fixed IP for it).

well...

WLAN powersave - off
DMZ'ed my PSP's IP after custom WIFI config

Still able to play other games except NHL 07 ...

"a network error occured. cannot connect to other player."
right before the opening face off, thats the error I get.

sometimes (maybe 5% of attempts) when I play madden07 I get an error "lost connection to your opponent" (something like that) right after the opening kick-off, but it only happens the odd time so I always assumed it was my opponents problem.

any other suggestions? thanks again

well I'm sitting 4 feet away from my router, when I do a connection test its ussually 100% ... so thats not the problem....

and yes I have the iso

firmware 1.5
running devhook .51 emulating 3.02

everything works like a dream ... sometimes after exiting a game it locks up and wont go back to the original sony menu (xmb i think)
but besides that all other games work online...

thanks again

hello again fellas,

I read somewhere, on my journeys, that if your playing an iso (cso or dax) game online, your oponent must also be running an iso (cso or dax).

and vice versa, if you are playing your original game umd, your oponent must also have an original umd...

can anyone confirm this? I heard it might be true for some games....

such as nhl 07 maybe!?
