i've downloaded it trice differant torrents.its a ISO that is 1,360,768 km but when i play it after the psp logo it stays black and nothing appears?
i put MetalGearSolid.iso and mgs without .iso.
whats the problem cmon i hear this game is really good!

You have to use DevHook 0.51 with 3.02 emulation.
I have a guide for it but my site is down.

and that could be why its not workin considering the game requires 2.81 to play. although most of the other titles have played in 2.71, maybe this one is different.

well hex im doing your guide but it doesn't work.
after i put the firmware installer in my psp:game folder i download the 3.01 update is that update a file thats a eboot thing?
then when you say extract devhook what do you mean lancher files
i only see readme,msroot,original docs,andfwinstall.which one?

Inside of the devhook folder there should be msroot. go inside that folder. there should be PSP and DH. copy those folders to ur hdd. And yes the 20+MB eboot file is the 3.01 update which goes in the root of your memory stick. Here soon im going to update this tutorial tho becuz there is now a 3.02 firmware installer much like this one. Actually I think it works for 3.01 and 3.02.

the FBM folder isnt needed. As for the update I have no idea where u got it but it should be entitled eboot.pbp. When you run the firmware installer it will let u know if its the right one.

Doesn't the fbm folder go in the root of your memory stick (i.e X:\ where X is the drive letter of your PSP)?
Are you sure it was a PMP file? Its supposed to be a PBP file. Put that 3.01 update EBOOT.PBP to the root of your memory stick.

yes u can copy the two devhook and two firmware installer folders to PSP\GAME. Drop eboot.pbp to the root of your memstick along with the DH folder. Dont worry about the FBM folder. Run the firmware installer.

hex i have An icon that says DeviceHook titled Devhook0.51 launcher BETA but i have another that says corrupted data do you thin that thats the eboot and i got the wrong one?link please i went to download it from ur guide but it just took me to psp-hacks homepage.

actually i deleted the pmp file and now i got no eboot but there isnt coruppted data but theres now

ah now i see you need the eboot for the DH FW installation right?
but then whats the devhook 0.51 launcher beta for?
EDIT:i got the EBOOT and its bringing up these files that all expanded,saved at the end and now says creating flash1.
now its done do i click on the beta thing?
can i delete the installer now?

That is the actual DevHook program which you will have to run after you install the DevHook firmware.
You do need the 3.01 EBOOT.PBP in the root of your memory stick as this is what the firmware installer uses to extract/decrypt the 3.01 firmware files to X:\dh\301\
